Account Information: Email address and profile information provided via Google Authentication or registration.
User-Generated Content: Audio recordings, uploaded documents (PDFs/Images), and text inputs for AI processing.
Technical & Analytics Data: We use tools like PostHog to collect anonymized usage data (features clicked, session duration) to help us understand how users interact with Kogito and fix bugs.
Subscription Data: Processed via RevenueCat and App Stores. We do not see or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use & Share Your Information

We use your data strictly to power Kogito:

AI Processing: Text and audio are sent via secure APIs to providers like Google Gemini for generating notes and summaries.
Push Notifications: We use OneSignal to send you important updates, reminders, and study tips. You can opt-out of these at any time in your device settings.
Cloud Infrastructure: We use secure, industry-leading cloud storage and database providers to keep your notes synced and your audio files safely stored.

3. Required Permissions

Kogito requires the following permissions to function:

Microphone: For voice recording of lectures and notes.
Camera/Gallery: For scanning documents and study materials.
Notifications: To send study alerts and reminders via OneSignal.

4. Data Security & Retention

Security: All data is encrypted during transmission and at rest using modern encryption standards.
Retention: We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently via the app settings at any time.

5. Children's Privacy

Kogito is intended for students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
